Pictured here is my secretary desk.  Such a desk might have been made in Philadelphia ca. 1770.  Made of American Black Walnut with a shellac finish, the piece stands 85.5 inches tall and 40 inches wide.  The upper and lower cases are fully hand dovetailed as are all 16 drawers in the desk.  The tombstone doors figure prominently in the piece.  Fitting for a colonial home.
